Shipping and Receiving Supervisor

Requirements

• 1 year lead experience in shipping/receiving environment
• International and domestic logistics knowledge preferred
• Forklift and pallet jack experience required
• Excellent computer skills
• Ability to read work orders
• Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers
• Independent thinker
• Attention to detail and organizational skills required

Responsibilities

• Manage shipping and receiving staff and facilitate daily workload
• Approve time and attendance
• Communicate between production, sales, and logistics departments
• Coaching and training employees
• Employee evaluations and reviews
• Problem solves with quick resolutions to manage shipments timely 
• Responsible for the team to follow customer packing, marking, and shipping guidelines
• Use computers and mobile devices to pull parts
• Knowledge how to shrink wrap, band and label pallets
• Ability to use moving equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks to safely and efficient move inventory around the warehouse and stage shipments.
• Monitor shipping area is clean and clear for safety
• Ensure H-J policies, procedures and protocols are followed
• Inventory management and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Document movement of materials through the transfer system
• Share ideas, improvements, and recommendations for continuous improvement to help optimize results to improve safety and quality
• Audit shipments
• All other duties as assigned
