Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Manage Supply Chain and Logistics team in the procurement of direct and indirect materials to ensure on-time delivery and quality, while achieving desired inventory and cost levels
  • Optimize inventory levels and customer service through frequent interaction with marketing and sales to balance supply and demand
  • Support product portfolio changes, product line extensions, and product development to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow
  • Lead efforts in sourcing new suppliers and make/buy strategies to ensure contingency plans are in place and effective to avoid supply disruptions
  • Manage supplier relationships, both international and domestic
  • Establish and maintain supplier performance metrics in support of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction
  • Implement contemporary systems and processes within the supply chain and logistics function to improve efficiency, reduce operating costs, and improve customer service
  • Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, manufacturing, and quality assurance
  • Coach/mentor associates with focus on continuous improvement
  • Create professional working relationship with Partnership suppliers to increase market share
  • Oversee the negotiation and management of ocean and land freight contracts
  • Implement and maintain procedures to ensure Customs compliance for imported and exported materials, including USMCA certification
  • Coordinate resolution of supplier non-conformances, back-charges, and claims
  • Manage slow moving and inactive inventory


Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field OR 8 years related experience in the Supply Chain function within a similar working environment.
  • Seven years of progressive management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of principles involved in purchasing and inventory management - inventory turns, min/max, safety stock, lead times, and internal controls required for procurement process
  • Demonstrated proficiency with purchasing and planning using ERP system(s)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with teams and individuals across multiple cultures, disciplines, and geographies, both onsite and remotely
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment including manufacturing, distribution, and custom engineered products
  • Willing to travel both domestic and internationally


Preferred Qualifications

  • Supply Chain/Material Certifications – APICS, CPM, CPIM
  • Experience in multi-site operations, both domestic and international
  • Experience managing international supply base and logistics
  • Experience with casting, forging, machined parts, porcelain, and chemicals commodities
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
